Old Folks

Ooh Look a new font. This is the Olden-Timey song that I am obsessing on for the week. Is it on a commercial or something? Why is this in my head?

"He wouldn't even give me the time of day"

Okay so I was doing some deep thinking, as I do every once in a while, and you know the expression "He wouldn't even give me the time of day!" ? Do you think that maybe that expression began with someone asking someone else,"Hey what time is it?" and someone else being like "It's 7:00am" when it was really like 12. Or maybe they asked "What time of day is it" and the other guy was just like "Nah".

Yeah...

Sarah Silverman is my favorite Jew of all time

Best. Jew. EVERRR.

my iTunes most played.

Okay. I'm really really into music. I'm constantly downloading music, listening to music. Like rahlly rahlly good music. I'm a huge fan of the female vocals, specifically (obvi).

I make CDs for people all the time in order to feed my burning desire to share the great tunage that I find. If you're a music fan and you trust me, you NEED to get into these songs.

These are some of my favorite ear orgasms for your listening playjurr. This is just an excerpt from my itunes top 25 most played. If I've made you a CD at some point in your insignificant life, chances are that at least one of these tunesies have graced your car's CD player. Look into it:

1. Nicole Atkins - The Way It Is
Nicole Atkins should really be famous. She has an amazing voice and some great tunes, but I feel as though she's just gotten herself stuck with the wrong record company or hasn't done her promotional work properly. If you don't like this song this first time you hear it, give it another try. I didn't like it the first time I heard it but it's seriously my absolute favorite song. I put it on every CD I make. My roomates and myself have intensely serenaded eachother to this song on multiple occasions.

2. Robyn - With Every Heartbeat

TOO GOOD. This song always puts a smile on my face even though its really sad. You may remember Robyn from "Show Me Love" and some other singles back from before we went through puberty (aka the 90's). She has now graduated to electro-pop music that is seriously amazing. I really think this is one of the most beautiful dance songs in the past ten years. Plus she's from Sweden and you know the Swedish make some good stuff! (Shamwow reference).

3. Lady Gaga - Fooled Me Again, Honest Eyes (Live)

This is probably Lady Gaga's best song she has ever performed. It's not on either of her albums and she RARELY performs it live. I read an interview about this song where Lady Gaga said that the song is just too emotional to perform on a regular basis.

4. Dragonette - I Get Around

Dragonette is an electro-pop band from Canada. They're getting pretty much famous everywhere except the USA. For whatever reason, they have only charted in Canada and Europe. They were nominated for Best New Artist at the Juno Awards last year (which is basically Canada's answer to the Grammys). If you like this try ANY song by them. Just like this song, all of their work is catchy and easy to love immediately. There is a video for this song, but embedding of the video was disabled. Ch-ch-ch-check it out!
5. Dragonette - The Boys

This is a cover of a Calvin Harris song called "The Girls". It fucking shmexy and fierce as hell.

6. Deadmau5 feat. Rob Swire - Ghosts 'N Stuff

7. Metric - Sick Muse

"Everybody just wants to fall in love, Everybody just wants to play the lead." -- Truer words have never been spoken.

8. Lily Allen - Chinese

You prob know Lily Allen from that song Smile that was CONSTANTLY on VH1 like 2 years ago. Shit was PLAYED OUT. She has a lot of awesome new songs, but this is one of my favorites. This song is about her mom. It's real cute and simple but has an epic sound. There's no video for this song.

9. Bodyrox feat. Luciana - Yeah Yeah

Luciana does not have an American Idol's winner's voice, but her broken-spoken-word type vocals are really catchy. Plus it just sounds really trendy. I seriously feel cooler everytime I drive around blasting this in my car. Plus everyone in this video looks like they are rolling on some good ass e-pills.

10. The Cardigans - My Favourite Game

The Cardigans have had a lot of great music post-"Lovefool". This song was used in the video game Gran Turismo and countless commercials and TV spots. I feel like its always on reality TV shows when people are driving. It's almost 10 years old but it is actually AWESOME.

absurdities

These are TOO GOOD. There is this whole set of videos on youtube which are called the "Literal Version" of each song it accompanies. The premise is that the words to the song are re-sang to interpret the video Literally. They are genius.

Total Eclipse:

Under the Bridge:

If you loved this, there is a whole slew of them on YouTube if you search "Literal Version".

Introducing The Best Blog Ever

Oh hey girl hey! Let me just start out by explaining what you should expect...

I do not have many passions or hobbies. Some people are really into football or fashion or cross dressing, I , however do not think that I truly have a real calling or passion. One of the few passions that I have been able to identify is my passion to constantly talk about myself. I'm very into 'Me'. I have decided to channel this vanity into a blog.

My second passion is getting blackout drunk. I am extremely passionate about getting blackout drunk, embarassing myself, trying to dance like I'm black, and then having a nice drunk meal. I looove to drunk eat. My environment for this passion is Rutgers University. Here are some scandy photos of me being a passout artist.

I am not ashamed to say that I am a hot mess. I have a good time and have some good friends and I'm not too bad looking. I pledge to post lots of sexy pictures of myself (like those shown above) and others in order to dazzle your eyeballs.

Being that I am a lazy, vain, blackout artist, the majority of my free time is spent on the internet. I pledge to fill this blog with lots of funky thangs that will make you go 'oooooh'.

I vow to also use this blog to spread my good taste in music like herpes. I'm like really into music videos so I'm going to post all of the cool ones here. One of my biggest
and most useless talents is being able to identify great songs before they get raped by the radio. So you knowww that Joey Jwoww is goin' hook you up with some good tunage. [Tunage (toon-idge): a collection of good "tunes"]

That being said, I would like to begin my very first blog entry with a short biography of my life told in the third person (for dramatic effect):

Often referred to as Joey "Jwoww" Doman by the users of the internet social networking phenomena Facebook, Joseph Robert Doman was born on November 15th 1987. He has one brother named Matthew and two parents. He is a a huge gay but is not like one of those girly gays like Bobby Trendy or this guy:

Joseph attends school at Rutgers University in New Brunswick where he is currently working on his Bachelor's degree in Public Health. Here is one photo of him doing his pattented sexy pose:
